Dust off your thumbs. Every fortnight, the Beavertown Room at The Venue Bar turns into a retro gaming lounge, from 2pm to 6pm. Our friends at Gaming Retro-bution, an award-winning retro games specialist, bring a menu of over 2,000 games across a range of consoles. Think platformers, racing, fighting, party games and everything in between.
There’s no booking, no sign-up and no tournaments, just a relaxed afternoon of playing for the fun of it. Whether you grew up on a Mega Drive, can’t resist a round of Mario Kart or have never picked up a controller, everyone’s welcome. Bring your housemates, course mates or a date, and pick your favourite from the menu.
Entry is free, and it runs alongside Thirsty Thursdays at The Venue Bar, with Pravha pints and White Claw cans at £3.95, plus more deals at the bar. Grab a drink, grab a controller and press start.
