The Community Safety and Campus Security team is inviting anyone studying, working, and living at the university of Brighton to walk and talk with one of the team and to share their thoughts on safety and how to bring about positive change.
Walk & Talks are open to anyone studying, working, and living at the university of Brighton, who would like to go for a walk around their local area and discuss their views on safety. Those who would like to take part in the walk and talks can share their views and experiences as they walk through any areas where they feel unsafe or vulnerable.
The objective of the Walk & Talks is to start a conversation between the students and staff so we can listen and respond to concerns about your safety.
The University of Brighton want to be part of the solution. If there is an area of campus that feels unsafe, we want to know so we can address it. It is crucial we get this feedback so we can make changes that will positively impact the safety of the students and staff that study and work at the University of Brighton. The likelihood is that if you feel unsafe, others may do too, and we don’t want anyone to feel that way the University of Brighton.
You will be able to talk about anything that is crime or personal safety related. We want to share your feelings about your safety. Tell us about any changes you would like to see.
If you have a group of friends who would like to join and you are all comfortable to do so, you can book in as a group and walk together. If you fancy a chat with an officer but don’t want to Walk & Talk, you can contact the Crime prevention and personal safety advisor for a private conversation.
